Where general search falls short
Finding a specific fashion item online often means opening store after store, repeating the same query and still coming away without the right result.
Google Search can surface product listings, store pages and editorial results, but a specific fashion idea is often split across shopping modules and separate retailer sites. The shopper still has to reconcile the results across tabs.
ChatGPT and other general-purpose AI assistants can understand a fashion request and may surface products, but fashion is one of many categories they serve. Favora is built around repeated visual comparison of current fashion products, with merchant links and regional relevance treated as part of the result.
Favora puts conversational refinement and a dedicated fashion index in one product. It returns visually comparable products with merchant links instead of asking the shopper to translate the same intent between a general results page, an assistant and individual stores.
From a description to live products
Favora starts with a description rather than a retailer’s categories and rigid filters. A search can include silhouette, material, colour, price or brand preference, and the answer is a visual set of products rather than a list of pages.
The launch demo shows how the same search develops. It begins with a request for high-quality long wool coats, narrows the result to black options and then introduces a maximum price. Each follow-up changes the product set without making the shopper rebuild the query with new filters.
This structure matters because fashion intent is often cumulative. Material, cut, colour and budget belong to the same idea, and the shopper can add them as the search becomes clearer.
Available on mobile and desktop
The first release is live in mobile and desktop browsers. Alongside conversational search, it includes catalogue browsing, filters and product pages with prices, available sizes and a direct link to the brand or retailer.
Favora handles discovery, but the purchase stays with the merchant. The launch creates one place to search across more than 75 catalogues while preserving the source of every product and the retailer’s role in checkout, fulfilment and customer service.
The browser release is Favora’s first step towards a broader fashion discovery product. It establishes the core idea: a fashion-specific layer that can understand an open-ended request and connect it to products that can actually be bought.
